2024 was eventful
2024 was the most eventful year of my life. So, instead of typing out paragraphs, I'm gonna make a list of big things that happened.
• Went to the worst suicide watch EVER
• Went to a taping of After Midnight
• Found out that my aunt's body was found and buried in 1985 and that, just as we suspected, she was murdered by a serial killer and may have potentially been a victim of human trafficking
• Went to Wondercon
• Went to a Ducks game
• Went to Comic Con Revolution and met the voice of the Clones from the various Star Wars animated series
• Went to my first LAFC match, which happened to be Pride night. So I saw my dad as the wonderful ally he truly is as I watched an after-match celebration of Pride play out on the field
• Went to a Dodgers game and got to hang with a good friend of mine and meet her new boyfriend
• Saw Kaleo in concert
• Saw Collective Soul and Hootie and the Blowfish in concert (the former was excellent and the latter sucked.
• Made some new friends who live across the street (they've become like family to me)
• Went to SDCC and ended up forgiving Marc Guggenheim for a petty grudge I held against him for like 15 years
• Went to Morphicon where I met an online friend andgot to see a dear friend of mine who moved to Ireland
• Chose not to board a train because it came into the station with a wheel on fire
• Almost passed out from being overheated on the LA metro
• Saw Toad the Wet Sprocket and Counting Crows in concert
• Saw Smashing Pumpkins and Green Day in concert
• Went to LA Comic Con, where an actor helped me be at peace with some trauma from 23 years ago
• Saw Flogging Molly in concert
• Went to a Ducks game and actually walked out with 5 minutes left because they were losing so badly that me and dad couldn't bare it
• Went to an LAFC playoff match
• Saw Trans Siberian Orchestra in concert
• Dressed as Santa for some kids multiple times
• Got in a fight
So, yeah....HUGE year. Oh! My comic collection passed 4000 this year, so there's also that! Definitely a year to remember for a LOT of reasons. I'll be okay if I never have a year as eventful as this one.
