My Take on Power Rangers: Turbo

 The show would start with the rangers living normal lives. No evil has attacked the planet, in months. However, they are eventually allerted, by Zordon, that the Zeo crystal has been stollen. Zordon would inform them that he and Alpha have worked on new powers, but the rangers cannot use them. I would use some cop-out plot device like "the Zeo powers were meant to be the final evolution in ranger powers, and so any powers added on top of them could kill you" and that Tommy's powers, though derived form Auric's key, are directly connected to the Zeo crystal and so he is unable the morph.

Thus: Zordon would bring in a new team. I would bring in Cassie, Ashley, TJ, Carlos, and Justin. However, Justin would not be some annoying kid. He would be maybe 15 or so. Anyway, the new rangers are given the Turbo powers and are sent after the Zeo Crystal. There would be a few episodes of a special quest, which would lead them to discover that General Havoc has hidden the crystal in a dark dimension. The rangers would be forced to return to Angel Grove, because General havoc has sent a monster to attack the city. After they defeat the monster, Zordon informs the rangers that General Havoc is an evil space dictator (I know, it sounds weird), who is the most ruthless enemy that he has ever met.

The show would center on the rangers trying to find the Zeo Crystal. While trying to find it, they would lose their zords and be given the rescue zords. The Blue Centurion would be called upon (by Zordon sending a signal to another world), to aid the rangers. The Phantom Ranger would show up for a few episodes, in his own story arc. He would inform the rangers that they are not alone in the battle against evil. He would tell them that there are dozens of other rangers who are fighting various threats.

The season would end with General Havoc draining all of the power from the Zeo crystal, and enhancing his army to the point that they can destroy the command center and the Turbo powers. Zordon is taken prisoner and sent into space. The rangers go after him, as Alpha stays in the command center to detonate a bomb to destroy as many enemies as he can. Justin would sacrifice his life, to help the other rangers get to the shuttle, and thus the season would end.

There would be a romantic sub-plot between TJ and Cassie, as well as a sub-plot about Justin getting into fights at school as a way to act out, due to his mother leaving him and his father. The Zeo rangers would be supporting characters, in a few episodes. Bulk and Skull would still be private detectives (like they had been in Zeo). Plus: I would have one of the rangers (not sure which one) get into a car accident, and question whether or not they should be a ranger (kind of like when Carlos hurt Cassie in the in space episode "Always a Chance").
