2022: A Year to Remember

2022 has been the most eventful year of my life, thus far, and I mean that in a good way. Every month had something memorable happen. So, instead of ranting about the year, I'm going to break it down with memorable things from each month.

January: Mom went to her first Ducks game, cementing her fandom. That was a major win for me and dad...and the Ducks also won that night.

Mom and dad adopter a dog named Pepper. Pepper became Wrecker's best friend. I've never seen two dogs with a closer bond than they have.

I read the Lord of the Rings books and LOVED them.

I accepted my bisexuality and proudly came out.

February: I took a 31 hour train from LA to Seattle. I wanted to see the Pacific Northwest in the winter and I did. It was breathtaking. I remember seeing a bald eagle take flight by a frozen lake, as I rode the train through Oregon. While in Seattle, I finally hung out with my friend CJ (who is like a brother to me.) We ate tossed salads and scrambled eggs while watching Frasier. It was glorious!

I went to Santa Monica to hang with a couple of people from one of my favorite YouTube channels (the Try Channel).

March: Me and dad met Shaun Weiss (Goldberg from the Mighty Ducks)

April: I went to Wondercon and got to thank this one artist for confirming my bisexuality with a variant cover she drew.

Me and dad went to an Angels game. We left early because of the brutal defeat that was happening but we still had a good time.

The family (plus a friend of mine) did the WB Backlot tour. As a huge fan of Gilmore Girls, I was in awe!

May: I went to Comic Con Revolution and finally met Chris Claremont! It was like meeting God and yet also like meeting an old friend.

June: I went to Disneyland on the first, to celebrate my first Pride month.

I went to a small con in West Hollywood called Q Con (Queer...not the other Q).

I found a new comic shop, which I'd eventually start a pull list at. (For the first time in over a decade, I finally have a pull list again!!!!)

July: I had an amazing day out where I went the Academy Museum and Trejo's Cantina, as a celebration for me turning 30 years old.

August: I went to Power Morphicon and had a truly fantastic weekend. One of the best Con weekends I've ever had.

September: Me and dad went to see John Williams in concert at the Hollywood Bowl.

I went to Disneyland and got to hear the Dapper Dans do their Halloween set for the first time in 3 years, and I finally met a couple of cosplayers I adore.

October: I went to Toon Con and hung with a dear friend of mine.

Me and dad went to see The Who at the Honda Center.

November: I went to a Ducks game and almost got into a fight.

I got to hang with a friend of mine, when she came to my city to sign autographs.

I went to see Elton John at Dodger Stadium and almost got into two fights.

December: I had an amazing weekend at LA Comic Con. Perhaps the best Con weekend I've ever had.

I had a truly fantastic Christmas. One to remember, for sure.

I went to a beautiful wedding.

See? Eventful. Literally full of events. 2023 isn't likely to have nearly as much, but sometimes it's nice to slow down and appreciate the things you've done, while also looking forward to the things you plan to do (such as 2024's New York trip.) 2022, before you go, I just wanna tell you you were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. And do you know what? So was I!
